管理世界上最好的精品酒店——蓝山校友Justin King
蓝山国际酒店管理学院（Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School）非常高兴与大家分享我们校友所获得的杰出成就，Justin King，塔斯马尼亚岛（Tasmania）豪华酒店撒福里菲欣纳酒店（Saffire Freycinet）总经理。Justin已经管理这家酒店超过2年，在伦敦大理石拱门（Marble Arch）蒙特卡姆酒店（The Montcalm）近期举办的世界精品酒店奖（World Boutique Hotel Awards）颁奖典礼上，他荣获了2014年世界最佳精品酒店奖（World’s Best Boutique Hotel 2014 award）。
这一颇负盛名的奖项是世界精品酒店奖项中的最高荣誉，旨在认可豪华精品酒店的高品质和独特性。撒福里菲欣纳酒店（Saffire Freycinet）也被授予了澳大拉西亚最佳精品酒店奖（Australasia’s Best Boutique Hotel）、澳大拉西亚最佳烹饪精品酒店奖（Australasia’s Best Culinary Boutique Hotel ）和澳大拉西亚最佳设计精品酒店奖（Australasia’s Best Design Boutique Hotel）。
“我们感到极其幸运能够在今年荣获诸多奖项，但是能在今天举办的世界精品酒店大奖颁奖典礼上荣获‘世界最佳整体精品酒店奖’（Best Overall Boutique Hotel in the World）已经远远超出了我们的预期。” Justin表示。
本月初，撒福里菲欣纳酒店在霍巴特（Hobart）举办的国家颁奖晚宴上荣获澳洲酒店协会（Australian Hotels Association）最佳度假式住宿奖（Best Resort-Style Accommodation）。此外，荣获的其它荣誉包括：被英国《康德纳斯特旅游者》（Condé Nast Traveller ）杂志的读者评为澳大拉西亚和南太平洋地区第二佳海外休闲度假村。
Justin于2002年与妻子Melanie一起毕业于蓝山，他在澳洲、伦敦、多哈、斐济（Fiji）以及塔斯马尼亚岛（Tasmania）的酒店行业拥有丰富的工作经验。在与妻子Melanie共同管理斐济蓝湖度假村（Blue Lagoon Resort）期间，该酒店赢得了斐济总理授予的2011年度旅游业输出者大奖（Tourism Exporter of the Year Award in 2011）和Trip Advisor（到到网）2012年度旅行者之选大奖（Traveller’s Choice Award）。
Justin表示：“我认为我在蓝山接受的教育促使我在全世界一些非常卓越的酒店获得了一些极佳的机会。这么多年过去了，我现在仍然受益于这个非常棒的校友网络，我能够接触到澳洲以及国际上很多杰出酒店人士。我感到非常自豪能够成为其中的一员。”

BMIHMS Alumni is Managing the ‘Best Boutique Hotel in the World’
Managing the Best Boutique Hotel in the World – Justin King, BMIHMS Alumni
Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School is delighted to report an outstanding achievement for alumni, Justin King, General Manager of the luxury hotel Saffire Freycinet, Tasmania. Justin has been managing Saffire for more than two years, and is now the recipient of the World’s Best Boutique Hotel 2014 award at the recent World Boutique Hotel Awards ceremony, held at The Montcalm, London Marble Arch.
This prestigious award is the highest honour in the World Boutique Hotel Awards scheme, which is committed to recognising the high quality and uniqueness of luxury boutique properties. Saffire Freycinet was also awarded Australasia’s Best Boutique Hotel, Australasia’s Best Culinary Boutique Hotel and Australasia’s Best Design Boutique Hotel.
“We have been very fortunate to win several awards this year, although receiving the ‘Best Overall Boutique Hotel in the World’ at the World Boutique Hotel Awards today is beyond our wildest dreams,” said Justin.
Earlier this month Saffire received the Australian Hotels Association award for Best Resort-Style Accommodation at the national awards dinner in Hobart. Other accolades include being named the number two Best Overseas Leisure Resort in the Australasia and South Pacific Region by readers of travel title Condé Nast Traveller in the UK.
Justin, graduated from BMIHMS in 2002 at the same time as his wife Melanie, has extensive experience working in the hospitality industry in Australia, London, Doha, Fiji and now in Tasmania. While co–managing with his wife Melanie the Blue Lagoon Resort in Fiji, the property won the Fijian Prime Minister’s Tourism Exporter of the Year Award in 2011 and the Trip Advisor Traveller’s Choice Award for 2012.
Justin said, “I feel that my time at BMIHMS has enabled me to have some amazing opportunities with some incredible properties around the world. I am still reaping the rewards many years later with an incredible alumni network, and the ability to access some of the best hoteliers in Australia and internationally. I am certainly proud to be part of such a group of people”.
The whole team at Blue Mountains congratulates Justin for this great achievement, and wish him further success in his already impressive career.
