       作为蓝山国际酒店管理学院的学生，我获得了在知名行业活动中担任志愿者的机会


       我有机会与来自蓝山鲁拉和悉尼校区的学生一起在澳大利亚和新西兰酒店世界大会（Australia and New Zealand Hotels World Conference）上进行志愿活动。


       志愿活动能使我运用到我在硕士学习期间学到的应用知识和技能，在登记处为与会者提供帮助，提供顾客服务，参与颁奖典礼。我相信这种经历已经给了我极大的自信。


       此次会议在悉尼乔治街希尔顿酒店（Hilton）举办，恰好位于蓝山悉尼校区旁边。会议迎来了世界各地超过400名总经理和高级经理人。这为我和其它志愿者们提供了聆听酒店行业高端人才谈论酒店行业当前面临的挑战的绝佳机会。我在此次会议当中不仅仅学到了如今能够应用在我的学习当中的丰富知识，而且这也是一种见到行业有影响力人士的非常棒的方式。当然这也是促进个人发展的绝佳机会。总之，建立联系，在我的简历上增加行业会展经历会让我受益匪浅！

Volunteering with #BMIHMS


August 6th, 2014

As a student at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School, I have had the opportunity to volunteer at prestigious industry events.

I had the opportunity to volunteer, along with students from the Leura and Sydney campuses, at the Australia and New Zealand HotelsWorld Conference.


Volunteering enabled me to use the skills I have learned in the applied learning part of my master degree by offering attendees assistance at the registration desk, providing customer service and participating in the presentation of prizes and awards. Mostly I believe it has given me confidence.


The conference was held at The Hilton, George Street, Sydney  right next door to BMIHMS Sydney campus. There was attendance of over 400 general managers and senior managers of hotel companies from around the world.  It gave myself and fellow volunteers the extraordinary experience of listening to people at the top of the industry talk about the current challenges facing the hospitality industry.  Not only did I learn a huge amount that I can now use in my academic studies, it was a fabulous way to meet influential people in the industry.  It was an amazing opportunity for my personal development.  After all, making connections and adding industry event experience on my resume can only be good!
