9月4日，2015年HM优秀膳宿奖的获奖者在悉尼市政厅的创纪录600名参与者前获得提名。
HM奖由电视名人Lisa Wilkinson 主持。在这场颁奖礼中，评选出了澳大利亚，新西兰和南太平洋地区膳宿业最佳员工，最佳房产，最佳品牌和联营企业。
BMIHMS的校友，现在的宜必思阿德莱德总经理Nathan Frost也在当晚荣获最佳经济酒店奖。其他几位校友也获得了各种分类下的奖项提名。

The Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) CEO, Mr Guy Bentley, has been recognised at this year’s HM Awards for Hotel and Accommodation Excellence.
Mr Bentley received the inaugural Ashley Spencer Service to the Industry Award for his advocacy and upholding of industry standards. The award was a fitting farewell for Mr Bentley, who will soon depart for Switzerland to transfer to his new role as CEO at Glion Institute of Higher Education, a sister school of BMIHMS. Both institutes are part of the Laureate Hospitality Education network.
Mr Bentley said it was an honour to have been acknowledged by an industry he is so passionate about.
“Receiving this award is truly very humbling. I have been a lifelong advocate for the hospitality industry and it is a thrill to be recognized by the industry for the work I have done at BMIHMS over the last 11 years.
“It is with mixed emotions that I will soon bid farewell to BMIHMS, but I am excited to impart my knowledge and industry experience at our sister school Glion and continue to help the next generation of industry professionals achieve their full potential,” he said.
BMIHMS General Manager, Jerome Casteigt, said:
“This award was a really wonderful way for Mr Bentley to wrap up a brilliant career at BMIHMS. In his 11 years with us, Guy has achieved more than many could expect to achieve in a lifetime, and we wish him nothing but the best as he moves into a very exciting phase of his career.
“His hard work and passion for BMIHMS and for the industry leaves a legacy that will be hard to emulate – but I am looking forward to continuing to strengthen Blue Mountains’ reputation as the Number 1 Hotel Management School in Australia and Asia-Pacific.”
The winners of the 2015 HM Awards for Accommodation Excellence were named in front of a record 600 attendees at Sydney Town Hall last on Friday 4 September.
Hosted by television personality Lisa Wilkinson, the HM Awards have, for the 13th time, recognised the accommodation industry’s finest staff, properties, brands and chains across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
BMIHMS alumnus and now Ibis Adelaide General Manager, Nathan Frost, was also recognized on the night, with the property taking out the Best Economy Hotel Award. Several other BMIHMS alumni were also nominated for awards across a variety of categories.
