我在蓝山国际酒店管理学院学习的第一周
当我作为蓝山国际酒店管理学院新生参观悉尼校区时，我才刚到悉尼两天。穿上专业服装时，我感觉自己像是去掌控世界一样，尽管当我首次踏进校园时这种感觉就烟消云散。所有的新鲜事物和新环境都让我感到不安，在乔治街（George Street）我完全没有了在家的信心十足。
我受到了一个亲切友好同学的欢迎，他给了我一袋小册子和纸张，让我阅读和签字，并为我找了坐的地方。坐在我旁边的是学长James，他也是我在学校真正交的第一个朋友。他试着发起话题（非常好，但是我却仍然很紧张），询问例如我从哪来诸如此类的问题，他让我多和其他的新同学交流。他毫无保留地回答我所有的问题、为我答疑解惑，他帮了我很多，让我开始感觉非常温暖舒服。
学校的一些讲师和员工向我们介绍了他们自己，我们玩了一个很有趣的游戏，这使我们之间更加熟悉。在课堂活动期间，James、Katherine和另外一位学长，非常幽默风趣地表达了学生对讲师讨论的每一个话题的看法。
所有员工都非常亲切，让我感觉自己很受欢迎，消失的信心又重新回来了，我非常期待第二天的到来……当然是新生欢迎周啦！

My first week at Blue Mountains
My first week at Blue Mountains (International Hotel Management School)
I had only been inSydney a couple of days, as a new studentstudying at the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management Schoolwhen I went it in to visit the Sydney Campus. I put on my professional attirefeeling as if I was going to take over the world, although that feelingdisappeared when I first got into the School. I was so nervous with all thenovelty and the new environment that I completely forgot my confidencesomewhere between home and George Street.
I was welcomed bya lovely student who gave me a nice bag with some brochures and papers to readand sign, and showed me where to sit. At my side there was James, a veteranstudent and the first person I really made friends with. He tried to initiateconversation (which was great as I was still nervous) asking things such aswhere I came from and making me interact with the other new students. He waspretty helpful and very open to answer all my questions and remedy my doubtsand that made me start feeling much more comfortable.
Some lecturers andstaff from the School have presented themselves to us and we played a fun gamethat helped as learn more about one another. During classroom orientation,James and Katherine, another veteran, were fantastic as they pointed out thestudent point of view for each topic discussed by the lecturer.
All the staff wasso warm and I felt so welcome that, in the end, the confidence I had lost cameback to me and I was really looking forward to the next day . . . which was of course O’Week!
