温斯顿•丘吉尔（Winston Churchill）曾经说过：“伟大的代价就是责任。”这也是任何伟大团队成功背后的秘诀。
Responsibility created me into a role model overnight. I could write a whole blog on all the responsibilities that I took on and I’m the first to admit it was a lot of work and challenging to juggle with my academic studies.
责任感突然将我造就成一名模范生。我可以在博客上写满我所承担起的所有责任，我是第一个承认进行学术研究既辛苦又具有挑战性的人。
This blog discusses the privilege that was mine to work with an amazing, team as a student of The Blue Mountains International Hotel Management – Term 1 2012 SRC Treasurer.

Ultimately I took on board a great opportunity and worked with two incredible executive members, (above) middle Per Granstroem (President) and right Jessica James (Secretary), whose exceedingly committed personalities, matched with a hardworking team has been something I am proud to have been part of.

Together we organised some great events. Some highlights were The Oscars themed event (best dressed going to me J), a Flashback themed party, degustation dinner, cocktail nights, movie nights, casino night and our finale- the Intake Farewell Dinner.
我们一起组织了一些很棒的会展。例如奥斯卡主题会展、缅怀过去主题会展、品尝宴会、鸡尾酒之夜、电影之夜、赌场之夜以及最后一个会展欢送晚宴。
Part of the strengths of the School is the multicultural make-up of the students. To make the most of this unique feature of the student body we held culturally themed meals together. Scandinavian and Portuguese being my favourites! These are particularly relevant to my career in International Hotel Management tasting different cuisines and understanding the cultural significances of various foods. They were lots of fun!
学校的优势之一就是学生的多元文化背景。为了充分利用学生的这一特点，我们共同举办了文化主题餐活动。斯堪的纳维亚和葡萄牙美食是我的最爱！品味不同的菜系、理解不同美食的文化内涵，这些都和我的国际酒店管理职业生涯相关。非常有趣！
My most prized achievement, as part of this SRC team, was the refurbishment of the school gym. This was a big project for me and required a lot of financial negotiations . . . all good experience!
作为SRC团队的一员，我最重要的成就是对学校体育馆的翻修工作。这对我而言是一个大项目，需要很多财政协商……都是非常棒的经历！
Not all of the work was just about our fun; we also held charity events in support of breast cancer and the Victoria Bush Fire Appeal.
并不是所有工作都仅仅和娱乐相关；我们也举办了慈善活动来支持乳腺癌患者和维多利亚州森林火灾基金会（Victoria Bush Fire Appeal）。

So was it worth it, the time commitments and extra responsibilities?

Yes. I think I am only just beginning to learn what I am capable of.
