蓝山国际酒店管理学院（Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School）非常自豪能够在澳大利亚悉尼举办2013年第7届国际专家小组论坛（International Panel of Experts，IPOE）会议。这次会议齐聚世界各地的酒店业学术领导，使其能够相互交流学习，并就当前酒店教育中的相关问题和趋势发表演讲。
IPoE会议由国际旅游和酒店教育卓越中心（The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education，THE-ICE）组织，该卓越中心是一个为酒店和旅游教育家设立卓越标准的独立国际认证机构。它也是认证蓝山课程的一个组织。
蓝山选定了今年IPoE的主题：行业教育联系——全球化视角，以过去的论坛为基础，专注于当前旅游、酒店和会展教育所面临的战略问题。此次会议的演讲和专家小组讨论主题如下：
相互关联一代人的行业参与度和教育领导力
缩小行业需求差距同时在全球商业环境下保持教育可信度

举办如此重要的会展将行业和学术领导聚集在一起，是为了讨论该行业是如何发展进步的。这也是蓝山的学生锻炼酒店技能和会展组织能力的绝佳方式。蓝山学生在会展期间应用了他们在商务本科或硕士学位学习期间掌握的实践技能，对此次会展极有帮助。我们不断为学生提供在诸如IPoE会议中实践技能的机会，同时还提供行业实习。所有蓝山学生在学习期间必须进行行业实习。这将确保学生一毕业就能够拥有进入劳动力市场迎接挑战的知识、意识和经验。

Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School was proud to host the 7th International Panel of Experts (IPOE) Conference 2013 in Sydney, Australia. This conference enables academic leaders in hospitality from all around the world to network and address the current, relevant issues and trends in hospitality education.
The IPoE conference is organized by THE-ICE (The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education), which is an independent international accreditation body that sets Standards of Excellence for hospitality and tourism educators. They are an organization that accredited the curriculum at here at BMIHMS.
BMIHMS chose this year’s IPoE theme, The Industry Education Nexus – a global perspective, which builds on past forums, focusing on current strategic issues facing tourism, hospitality and events education. Presentations and panels from the conference included:
- Industry engagement and educational leadership for the connected generation
- Bridging the gap between industry needs while maintaining educational credibility in a global business environment
- Technology and innovation in Tourism and Hospitality
- Educating and engaging with today’s generation of learners
- Creating shared values for students through industry and educators leadership
Both the students and staff at BMIHMS worked diligently to provide a hospitable environment for the attendees, and it was a huge success! Blue Mountains is committed to continuing our position leading the field in hospitality education. Working with industry partners and being actively involved with THE-ICE and IPoE prepare our students to meet the current demands of the industry and gives our students a greater advantage upon graduating, making BMIHMS once again the No. 1 hotel school in the Asia pacific and Australia region.
Hosting such important events brings industry and academic leaders together to review how the sector is progressing. It is also an excellent vehicle for our students to hone their hospitality skills and event organisation capabilities. BMIHMS students were instrumental in the execution of this event, using the practical skills attained during theirBachelor of Business or Master degree. We continue to provide the best opportunities for students to use their skills, with events like the IPoE, as well as providing industry placements. All BMIHMS students must work in industry as part of the studies. This ensures that upon graduation students have the knowledge, awareness and experience to enter the workforce prepared for the challenges ahead.
