毕业后，我前往昆士兰州诺沙（Noosa），想要开一家小酒吧并经营一家精美餐厅。我一直在那里呆到2002年7月我的签证到期。
2002年9月，我得到美国佛罗里达州希尔顿酒店（Hilton）总经理培训生的工作。那时酒店的总经理是蓝山的校友Charles Young。2003年完成培训之后，我去了新西兰，担任弗朗茨约瑟夫冰河风景酒店（Scenic Circle Franz Josef Glacier Hotel）助理经理和餐饮运营经理。
2005年，我作为哥本哈根阿迪娜公寓酒店（Adina Apartment Hotel）总经理加入Toga，工作4年后，我作为麦地那悉尼中心豪华酒店（Medina Executive Sydney Central）于2009年回到澳大利亚。2011年，我成为悉尼维博酒店（Vibe Sydney）总经理，今年我升职为地区酒店总经理，负责位于悉尼和伍伦贡（Wollongong）的9家Toga酒店。

Congratulations to our Alumni of the Month for April: Caspar Schmidt, Area Manager Sydney for Toga Hospitality.
Caspar graduated from BMIHMS in December 2001and gives us an outline of his career path over the last 11 years:
After graduation, I moved to Noosa, Queensland, to open a bistro and run a fine dining restaurant. I stayed until my visa expired in July 2002.
I had secured a General Manager traineeship with the Hilton in Florida, US starting in September 2002. The GM at the time was a BMIHMS Alumni, Charles Young. After completing the traineeship in 2003 I moved to New Zealand where I worked as the Assistant Manager and F&B Operations Manager in the Scenic Circle Franz Josef Glacier Hotel.
In 2005 I joined Toga as General Manager of the Adina Apartment Hotel in Copenhagen, where I remained for four years until moving back to Australia in 2009 as the Hotel Manager for Medina Executive Sydney Central. In 2011, I became the Hotel General Manager of the Vibe Sydney and this year I was promoted to Area Hotel General Manager with responsibility for nine Toga hotels located in Sydney and Wollongong.
