蓝山国际酒店管理学院——澳大利亚排名第一的酒店学校举办TEDxEvent活动
2013年3月16日将会是蓝山国际酒店管理学院（BMIHMS）的又一里程碑，这一天蓝山将成为举办TEDxEvent活动的首个酒店教育提供者。
此次TEDxBMIHMS活动名为Mixology：永远不要将Mixologist称为酒吧调酒师，可不要小瞧了这份工作，它集中反映了人们是如何加速提升自己的技能和进入下一级别的角色的。这也显示了酒店行业是如何不断发展起来的，以及不断将自己的技能提升到服务新高度是何等的重要。
蓝山非常自豪能够在鲁拉校区举办此次活动，各种鼓舞人心和幽默风趣的演讲嘉宾将会围绕Mixology的主题进行探讨。TED活动为人们创造了一个开诚布公的平台，人们可以自由地表达自己的观点和想法，在一种非盈利的环境下，帮助其他人获得更深层次的思想和观点。
这些活动所带来的鼓舞人心的力量是非常宝贵的。TEDxEvents活动在世界各地举办，作为澳大利亚酒店行业的领先教育家，我们希望能够支持他们，并在这种创新环境下工作。

注：TED（指technology, entertainment, design在英语中的缩写，即技术、娱乐、设计）是美国的一家私有非营利机构，该机构以它组织的TED大会著称，这个会议的宗旨是“用思想的力量来改变世界”。TED诞生於1984年，其发起人是里查德·沃曼。2002年起，克里斯·安德森接管TED，创立了种子基金会（The Sapling Foundation），并营运TED大会。每年3月，TED大会在美国召集众多科学、设计、文学、音乐等领域的杰出人物，分享他们关於技术、社会、人的思考和探索。TED演讲的特点是毫无繁杂冗长的专业讲座，观点响亮，开门见山，种类繁多，看法新颖。

March 16 2013 marks another landmark for Blue Mountains Hotel School (BMIHMS),as on this day we will be the first hospitality education provider in Australia tohost a TEDxEvent.
Our TEDxBMIHMS event is titled, Mixology: Never Call a Mixologist aBartender, and it focuses on how people have stepped up their game and takentheir roles to another level. This rings true of how much the hospitality industry continues to grow and howimportant it is to continually step up to raise your game to reach new heightsof service delivery.
Blue Mountains is proud to host this event at ourLeura Campus, and a range of inspiring and interesting speakers will discussseveral themes within the thread of the Mixology title. Ted Events create a channel for people to openly present their opinions,thoughts and ideas, in a not for profit environment, and help raise thethoughts and ideas of others.
The inspirational impact of these events is invaluable. TEDxEvents operate throughout the world, and as a leading educator in Australiawithin hospitality we wished to support them and work within this innovativeenvironment.
