On Wednesday 3 August the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS) became the only school in Australia to become part of Sofitel’s School of Excellence. This honour builds on the School’s reputation as the leading hotel school in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Accor, one of the world’s leading hotel groups which operate the prestigious 5-star Sofitel brand, recently established the Sofitel School of Excellence as part of its Global Ambassador program which connects its 25,000 employees worldwide. The program focuses on attracting talented employees, retention of employees and offering career advancement opportunities. BMIHMS is now part of a select group of only 15 hotel schools around the world whose students are eligible to participate in the program.

Chosen graduates will have the unique opportunity to participate in a 12-18 month program which is a fast-track graduate management program offering support and mentorship from a senior Sofitel manager. The aim of the program is to enable graduates to quickly move to a leadership position while receiving support and coaching as they progress.
